History of Deeper Life Bible Church.

The Deeper Christian Life Ministry begun under ministration of William F.
Kumuyi from 15 people in 1973 in Nigeria in university of Lagos, where
he was a lecturer of mathematics. Today the ministry became an
international, having its branches almost in every continent of the world.
The Deeper Christian Life Ministry started in biblical study group which
gather every Monday evening. William Kumuyi started the group because
many people had been coming to him for counseling and he was
obliged to ask them to be coming to his house altogether once in a
week. The Bible Study group grew and in 1975 they had to install a
loudspeaker for 500 people that were coming to William F. Kumuyi’s
house every Monday. The congregation grew very fast. After Monday Bible
Study the establish Saturday Faith School which later was renamed
Thursday Evangelistic School, later “Wonderful Revival Hour”, and later
Evangelistic Ministry. Sunday worship of Deeper Life Bible Church
started in Gbagada (Lagos) in 1982, and in 1983 established house
fellowship. The Deeper Christian Life Ministry grew starting right from the
moment of its foundation, spreading in whole 36 states of Nigeria and
after that in Africa and now in all continents of the world. The HQ Church
Gbagada (Lagos)consists of 80.000 adults and 40.000 youths and
children. The whole number of members in Nigeria is 800.000. The
Deeper Christian Life Ministry still grows fulfilling the vision and mission
of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and His Church all over the world to
teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the
Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things
whatsoever the Lord has commanded us.
William Kumuyi is the warm dynamic Pastor of the largest single
congregation in the world, the 120 000 member. A former university don,
William Kumuyi is a rare combination of God’s rich and matchless grace
a rigorous discipline of the academic. His diligence, foresight distinctive
leadership style have pedestalled him as one of the greatest Christian
Leaders of our time. Presently, he lives in Lagos, the headquarter city of
his Church and from there, he oversees all the branches in Africa and
beyond. He is married to Biodun and they have two boys, Jerry and John.
The Deeper Life Bible Church on the territory of former Soviet Union
started in 1996. In 1997 the Church was officially registered in Kyiv
(Ukraine). Pastors and leaders in the Church unwearyingly teach
undiluted pure Word of God to the nation of Ukraine. They are to open the
truth for the people, that was hidden from them for so long. Today Church
has many profitable spiritual materials translated into Russian language.
